[Solved]Kernel panic – not syncing: Fatal exception

I installed CentOS 5.5 on a dedicated server for a customer. The CPU was AMD’s six-core Phenom II X6 1055T, and the motherboard model was A785GM-M. When I reboot or shutdown the server, it always prompted:

After we upgraded CMOS, the problem disappeared.
